How does Project Vaani work under the hood?
Vaani stays minimized until you hold your configured global shortcut (⌥Space by default). As you speak, high-fidelity audio streams into an audio buffer with floating notch feedback. Releasing the key triggers transcription (via local whisper.cpp or cloud API), applies your chosen refinement preset, and inserts the polished prose into your frontmost application using macOS AppleScript with a clipboard fallback.
